Cost Sharing Forms

Description

As you know the Ohio Grape Industries Committee (OGIC) created the Cost Share Marketing and Promotion program in 2004 to assist in marketing and promoting Ohio wines and to develop the brand identity of Ohio wines with the industry logo/tagline through printed materials, special events, etc. Valid holders of Ohio A2 liquor permits who make at least one wine using Ohio grapes or grape products, as well as producers and manufacturers of Ohio grape value-added products are eligible to apply for up to 45 percent and not to exceed $1,500 per calendar year of their expenses for marketing and promotion of Ohio wines and grape products.

Due to the tremendous success of the Cost Share Marketing and Promotion program over the past few years, the OGIC has decided to make some changes. We ask that you please carefully read the enclosed materials and fill out the required information and return it to the OGIC no later than July 13, 2007 if you are requesting funding for the first funding cycle which takes place July - December, 2007.

As you're completing your Cost Share Marketing and Promotion request, please

  • New printed materials that encourage visits to Ohio wineries
  • Promotions that eliminate barriers for consumers' understanding of Ohio wines - how to choose, how to pair with food, Ohio's unique character, etc.
  • Familiarization tours or tastings for trades people, and/or media, etc.
  • Programs that strengthen regional wine industries using tourism
  • Programs that target new wine consumers
  • Grape product promotions at OHIO PROUD events
  • Programs that educate Ohio consumers about grapes and grape products other than wine made in Ohio

Please feel free to contact the Ohio Grape Industries Committee office with questions or concerns, 614-466-6198, or ohgrapes@agri.ohio.gov.

We look forward to hearing from you.
